Formative Assessment

I've used several modes to assess students' daily progress at the middle school level, including:
- daily self-evaluation of success criteria on bell work
- mid-week quick conjugation/vocabulary quizzes that test student progress on mastering vocabulary and grammar of the week
- thumbs up/thumbs down rating
- evaluation of work as students are trying new concepts
- spot-checking homework and providing on-the-spot feedback

Summative Assessment

I've also used many different forms of summative assessment in my various levels of classes:
- vocabulary quizzes every other week
- grammar quizzes every other week
- high school mandated tests for Spanish 1 and 2
- WordlyWise Vocabulary Tests for ELA 7
- Spanish projects encompassing skills learned during the unit
- final writing assessments incorporating skills learned during the unit
